Dress Aloud: hear how clothes look on you

Try clothes on your own photo and hear the honest truth: how it looks, whether it fits, and whether to buy. Built for screen reader users. Your photo stays on this device; only a try-on you start sends it, with the garment picture, to Google to make and describe the picture.

New here? Start in one minute

Blind and low-vision shoppers can read a size chart and hear the reviews, but have never been able to know what a garment would look like on them. Dress Aloud fixes that. Keep one full-body photo. Paste any product link, or press Alt plus Shift plus D on any clothing page in Chrome or Edge. Dress Aloud puts the garment on you, describes it for the ear, checks the store's size chart against your real height, weight and measurements, and says plainly: buy it, buy a different size, or do not buy. It is honest by design. If it looks bad, it says so.

Step one: choose a plan, or take one try-on free. Through December 31, 2026, everyone gets one free try-on, no card, so you can hear a real verdict before deciding. Otherwise pay on Stripe's secure page and you come straight back here, signed in, with your access code already in place. Plus is 40 try-ons a month for $7.99, Pro is 120 for $14.99, or 25 try-ons for $4.99 once, never expiring. Pause, resume or cancel any time from My account.

Already have an access code? Enter it in the next section. Shopping on a computer? Dress Aloud for Chrome and Edge reads the page you are on, so you never copy a link.

Full explains each step before you act. Brief is for when you know the site.

Step 1: your photo

A full-body photo, standing, in fitted clothes, in good light, phone held at chest height by someone else or on a stand. Choosing it saves it. Nothing else to press.

About you (makes the fit judgment real)

Each field saves itself, on this device only, when you leave it. Give what you know; skip the rest.

For example 5 foot 8, or 173 cm. For example 165 lb, or 75 kg. Tape around the fullest part. For example 38 in, or 97 cm. Heel to longest toe, standing. For example 10 in, or 25 cm. Or your usual shoe size, for example "US 9". Tape just above the ears and eyebrows. For example 22 in, or 56 cm.

Step 2: the garment

Easiest: paste the product link and press Try it on. Dress Aloud reads the page itself. Or choose a picture or screenshot of the garment; that starts the try-on at once.

On a phone: in the store, tap Share, then Copy link, then come back here and press this. No typing.
For example M, or 32x32, or XL Tall; for shoes, 9 or 42 EU. Leave it blank and Dress Aloud will judge from the sizes on offer. Torn between two sizes? Put the other one here and press Try both sizes. It makes two pictures, so it uses two try-ons. Leave it on "let Dress Aloud decide" unless it gets it wrong. Filled in for you from a link. Optional. Building a whole look? Add each piece here, then try the outfit on in one go, one credit for the whole picture.

Step 3: the result

The verdict first, then the description. Ask a question below, or send one picture to a sighted friend.

No try-on yet.
